Hi,

Just about to place an order for one of the above. Manual. This week

Although happy to spend the extra on the F6, been looking at the performance figures. F6 seems to be performing only a bees dick of difference between XR6T?

Those who have driven both, do the F6 genuinely feel considerably the faster car in standard trim? Ive only driven the XR6 Turbo and was impressed (haven't had a chance to drive F6, only an auto was available). Made the SS feel like a slug,,,

Cheers

I don't think the F6 is faster under any normal situation.

The smaller turbo of the xr6/g6e is much better for street use.

There isn't much difference to performance when you put the 2 together, if you drive the G6ET its the bang for buck in my eyes to value for money just change to manual and lsd diff not to do your head in.

I would go for the Manual XR6T, one its lighter than a F6 with all the gear on it you can modify just the same as a F6 the only thing the F6 will hold its value more than the other.

In terms of performance, I cant comment as I have not driven an F6, but if I had the $$$ I would have got the F6....with the additional extras like the Brakes, interior etc I think I would have liked it better.

Just my 2c :)

The extra money for the f6 can be justified or looked at as too much.

I reckon go the xr6t, the money you save spend on better brakes than brembos and all the rest of the extras you get with f6, suspension and then get mods. Probably still have money leftover imo

All the extra sh*t you can put onto a T but you still don't have an FPV even if you do change the badges.

I'd look at getting a second hand F6 as they do not hold value well at all. Don't buy a new one.

Low km 2010 can be had for under 37 on carsales. 2008's for under 33.

Pretty good deals if you consider how much they cost new

+2

although I have a 2010 f6 auto,my mate has a 2010 xr6t manual we ran them of the line to about 1/8 mile and my f6 had it by at least two car lengths..we were pretty close off the line but that bigger turbo and the more boost helped it pull away.
