Also with end of financial year looming you may find some real bargains shortly. Some of the things you can look at are treadwear numbers (the lower the number the softer the tyre, and the quicker it will wear out) .But generally speaking the better it will grip. But try and find the balance between price, grip and durability. Because these things are pretty hard on tyres and the last thing you want is to be replacing in 15000 km's after you've spent over $1300.
