Hey Guys,

I went out to have a bit off fun last night and the old handbrake started to get a bit soft after a few too many drifties. So basically I'm trying to figure out two things. One, If its possible, and two, What parts am I gonna need for it.

I've already had a quick look online and no-one does a specialized kit for Falcons, just universal ones.

Cheers !!!

Definately don't need a handbrake to go sideways, lol. Just a few flowing corners out there need a pinch of the handbrake to drag the slide out that's all. I love drifting and its just not the same without a good handbrake.

If you have an auto I would't recommend using the handbrake to lock the rear wheels at all. If its a manual I still wouldn't recommend it because of the handbrake shoe design these cars have. You will eat away the shoe very quickly and your car will develop the swooshing noise. Will cost a fair bit of money to fix.

Oh true ??? So there's hope yet. I gotta admit that XR6T's drift like champions, and I was hoping to figure out a way to do it. Got some mad video's last night, lol.

Where's the vids!!!

Buy one and try it, they're not dear, $200~. Then let us know how you go!

Paullie, doingitright is being sideways BEFORE the corner. Hanging it out on the way out isn't drifting.

Clutch kick

Power drift

Brake lockup

Compression lockup

Inertia drift

Prob a few more I can't think of

Would not use handbrake but if the hydraulic handbrake bypasses the need for the crappy stock shoes then go for it.
