Good to meet some of you guys out there last Wednesday night.

I managed at 11.8 @ 120 in my STi on my very first run, with 1.8 60'. I did something wrong in each of the runs after that.

Manuals take far more practice than the auto.

I'm considering putting E85 on my BF F6, and having another go at the 1/4.

Brian

Decent MPH for a rexy, good job Brian.

Thanks. MPH can go higher in the STi.

I backed off the last 30-40 metres because I was at 7300rpm in 4th and unsure how far to push it in the first run.

I'm going to see if can use a 8000 rpm limit, as car has 272 cams and Cosworth heads, and large enough exhaust housing for good exhaust flow, and the power peaks at 7000rpm.

That's quite different to the Fords, although my blue manual F6 revs to about 7500rpm.

STi is still with a run-in tune and mineral oil, so can be pushed further by Jim at Tunehouse.

I need 7850rpm for 130mph.

I have 2 broad targets at the drags; 10s pass and/or 130mph.... the sensation of a fast smooth launch and/or the sensation of going fast at the top end... both are good.

Both my Fords have gone over 130mph, best 138mph on street tyres.

So next the STi, then maybe the R35 GTR.

Possibly a months time. Busy with work again.

GTR will be last, as there is a limit to the amount of project cars at one time, and wife tends to complain more.

STi is being set up for World Time Attack again this year, and wrx club circuit days, the BF F6 better for drags.

GTR with just exhaust, E85 and tune does 130mph does high 10's . New GTR does 11.0 stock standard.

Did you put the stock zf tune back in after breaking the input shafts Matt?
