hey guys.. im jason, just bought an fg ute, first turbo .. expect it in 2 weeks ... cant wait to jump in!!

just a quik question .. does anyone know where I can find out how muh the manual gearbox can handle, as I am wanting to max the turbo out fairly quickly!

manual box should see out the turbo, but the clutch may need replacing after 280ish perhaps?!

ok cheers, heard they put a light clutch on the fg's ..

do you know of a good clutch that could handle alot of power

I aim for around 400-500 rwkw further down the track

The FG turbo clutch is bigger than the BA BF clutches, and the non turbo FG clutch. They were all 280mm, and the FG turbos are 290mm. This is as per user manual. I would assume it can handle a little bit more than what the old clutches were good for. And they generaly seen around the 280- 300 ish mark.

As for a good clutch, every one has good things to say about mall woods option+3 for 400ish and I think some of the bigger power players use the +6 one.

Best ring them, if you plan on going that high in the future might as well just do the clutch now.

Howdy all,

I've just tweaked my electric blue 5 speed manual 6/03 BA XR6T to 265 rwKw on my mainline, I got it to 245rwKw on stock injectors & fuel pump but injector's were maxxing out, so new tune is safe max inj duty cycle now is 80% & put a walbro in-tank in it!

Looking forward to hearing whats best for plenum kit & zaust!
