Taking in my FG XR6T for a stepped I/C fitting and retune in Sydney at BTA Motorsports.

Should be joining the 300rwkw club as I currently have 295 at the treads.

Hpoing to see a reasonable gain in rwkw and torque, more importantly reduce psi drops under constant heavy acceleration.

Will post up figures later this evening.

Has anyone else upgraded to the PWR stepped I/C and have any figures to provide?

Cheers

Armando

Yes, I am running a PWR stepped intercooler on an FGXR6T Manual. I have the F6 turbo fitted, siemens 60LB, 12psi actuator, 4'' dump to 3 1/2'' exhaust, surge tank, ported waste gate running around 16psi boost. The PWR intercooler has been fine, we made 344.8rwkw on a 23degree day.

Mine made only 297rwkw with the standard turbo stepped intercooler and standard exhaust but all other mods listed were done at the time.

Hope this helps, when I was researching the PWR cooler there was very little information out there.

Absmith, thanks

My car made 325rwkw peak, but my tuner backed it down to 317.5rwkw at 15psi.

I havent done the ported wastegate, or actuator upgrade.

PWR reckon the stepped cooler is good for 400rwkw. With only a few further mods left I wont be going past 360:)

The little FG turbos are amazing.

cheers

thanks for the post, what were your power gains moving to E85?

From the dyno chart you posted you went from 302rwkw to 346rwkw??

Do you recommend 2X Fuel pumps for E85, a lot of guys have just 1 good pump and surge tank.

What about ported wategate and 12lb actuator?

How much torque are you making on E85?

cheers

You get by with one 044, but my requirements were different as I wanted something bomb proof that could be used at the circuit 5X year.

I also have a Turbo Smart Fuel Regulator and Process West Dual Fuel rail (plus Surge Tank) to make sure all cylinders receive fuel.

My tuner didn't see the need for an upgraded actuator as the FG ones seem to hold boost well.

E85 is highly recommended. Runner cooler on the track too.
