The way I read it is tyre width is free but only 25mm up on max rim which is std 8.0 inch. So max rim 9.0.

Right you are actually, but I still fail lol

Sucks to live in VIC. But you guys can stick a VS Late model camira V6 engine into a 1996 Hilux.

Unless things have changed, in nsw you can stick anything in if it is a full chassis commercial like a hilux

like you said unless things have changed in the last 8 years or so, and its very likely that it might have but I had a hilux running the injected 5.0L out of a vs commy.

all engineered and 100% legal

how do aftermarket cats go about passing emission tests? ie. 100 cell cat might fail but 200cpi will pass etc..

would xforce exhausts pass the noise test?

Not true, they can pass. As long as they are placed in the correct position and a good quality there is a chance on a stock system.

no they do it so owners can purchase just a cat back if that's all they want, it makes better business sense to have 1 system that may fit multiple situations, which is why the have the same mounting location as stock on their systems

Regarding high-flows cats and "passing", doesnt it depend on the model?

EG: On a BA it could pass as different (less onerous) standards apply to older vehicles, but the same figure/result on a FG could fail. Might be wrong, but that's what I thought!
