Weight Training For Beginners

have been struggling to maintain mass/strength throughout this lockdown, but at least have been able to go to outdoor gyms and push on (even though it was not technically "open to do so" during this period of lockdown) as I have no home equipment

 

Gyms opening back up in 1 week's time here in Victoria :spoton: keen AF.

I don't care for bench, so... :finger:

 

also gave up on deadlifts... so only really squat decent weight these days and even that's sporadic. focusing more on calisthenics these days.

Moving house and covid meant that workouts in the home gym were put on hold. I now have half of it set up and I'm getting back into the swing of things, AMEN for muscle memory!

I'm just annoyed I couldn't do a workout in my gym yesterday when the re-lockdown in Vic was meant to happen at 11:59pm yesterday... stooged out of one last workout before this 6 weeks minimum re-lockdown... I hate "street workouts" in comparison to workouts in an actual gym, but I'll take what I can get.

Well I've reached my lifetime natty bodyweight goal of 120kg. Actually 121 but who's counting xD

 

Something something tits and abs.

 

Looking forward to losing some weight and making some gains. :victory:

It wasn't easy or healthy so I wouldn't recommend doing it.

 

@Rab I'll be doing some smoking/cooking soon so there could be a thread idea there.

I'm not worried :)  just added the sad emoji for effect. I'd love to be able to put on muscle weight (especially in such lean times such as lockdowns), but it's a difficult process for me, in general. I accepted that a long time ago haha

Moes get the bros? Lucky I had a shave today.

 

I looked at the weights today and thought about it, and it's the thought that counts, so I reckon I must have made some gains.

 

Brb maybe gonna lift weights some time in the future.
