just wondering if anyone has done maxxes 12 week challenge.

have had a few blokes do it from work and have had great results. one a wrestler that could have made commonwealth 20years back still a absolute tank. one a footy bloke that was a piss head like me and lost a lot of weight.

not for the comp but for self satisfaction.

im soon to be a dad and do not want to be the fat bloke that stands on the side lines I want to be a active father/ husband.

I used to be 88kgs and a very active weight user and runner.

in the last eight years I have become a piss head fat f*ckER and now weight 110kgs.

guys any help would be great. im trying to drop down to at least 90kgs but build some muscle in the process.

cheers bard.

Mate just start.

It takes 100 days to make something a habit.

So start if ya slip get back into. Don't be to hard on yourself.

The rest will come.

Oh yeah don't go in to hard to early and hurt ya self.

A mate and I competed in a Push-Pull Comp at a local powerlifting gym in April and managed 2nd and 3rd out of 18 lifters.

This is my 2nd deadlift at 235kg, I PB'd on my 3rd lift with 245kg. I managed 130kg full pause bench press.ede4yny6.jpg

I did the Max's 12 week challenge last year to see if I could do it. I ended up in the top 100 as voted by the pubic (60th I think), and won a prize pack for being part of a team, that did really well.

I've been focusing on putting on muscle, and keeping my fat below 25% since the challenge ended. The people who did best, were on their second attempt, so I'm giving it some serious consideration. I will be supporting my wife while she does it, as she's having 2 vertebrae in her lower back fused and a disc replacement as well, and her recovery will be in line with the challenge.

The only thing I would say to people is it's run like a bodybuilding competition. I lost 4 KG's in the last 7 days, water depleting, and carb depleting and loading. I looked like this for that day, and that day only. The 2 weeks following I gained about 3-4kg, but a lot of that was water weight that I had shed for the final photo.

I did learn how to eat right though, and about training with a purpose.
