Hi all,

My question is.....

What is the max power you can mod your car before you start putting the gearbox and diff under too much pressure?

I'm looking to play around with some mods, but I don't want to run the risk of killing the above mentioned items.

Thanks guys.

Mort

well depends on what box and what diff...

my 6speed manual and ute diff have coped alot of abuse at 330-350rwkw and still going strong...2nd gear burnouts, 3rd gear wheelspin at 100km/h when it comes on boost. I pop the clutch in second every chance I get...

Should be (relatively) fine until 400, but, you play you pay - regardless.

Many thanks fellas.....

I'm only planning on going somewhere in the low 300's at this stage anyway. So your comments sound promising.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Mort

The turbo is limited to about 320-330 anyway, both box and diff should be ok at this level but there is no guarantee.

Mine runs 350 rwks with standard turbo and 917 nm and has been since July last year. still not one problem with ZF or diff

:buttrock: 350rwkw is more than enough for the road !
