Lucas 72's are prehistoric and should never be used in an XR6.

Nelsonian......The 52lb's should be fine. If you get ID's and go to the same tuner you're likely to have the same issue (providing the car is mechanically sound). Go talk to the tuner and explain the issue you're having.

Could you elaborate a bit please as I know F all about injectors. Don't they work?

It's an old technology designed injector. It would be like putting an AU head on an FG!

There is no justification to go back in time given that we have the EV-14 design available as well as base calibration data available via SCT value files for most late model injectors.

@JETURBO I bought a brand new set of I'd 1050x injectors, should I get plug adaptors or get stock plugs taken off and wires joined to new plugs? Also new injectors are too short,  can I get extensions or have I got the wrong injectors? Thanks

You been fishing on ebay US market to save a dollar or two ;) 

 

Best practice is to wire in new injector electrical clips but if you’re “having a go” or not 100% fluent in this the roll with the electrical adaptors that can be bought from most online injector places and same with your extensions to suit
