do a search

a STOCK FG TURBO can do a 12 second 1/4 mile

in fact many have

mine did a 13 dead

but they in full street trim will do a 12.8-9 easily... and with a lucky run/good conditions they have been as low as 12.6, and even 12.5 with intake mods and 12.2 with a tune only

they will absolutely smash a sti on a roll and even in a casual drag, where your in trouble is if the dip sh*t driving the sti does 6000rpm clutch dumps but then @ 80km/h you'll pass him

dont bother trying to run anything on less than perfect conditions

you can also fit 5 fat *beep* in a fg and a boot full of piss towing a 2 ton trailer and get great fuel economy

might be much larger in physical size but they do handle ok and can be made to handle quite good,

but get an auto and decent rear rubber and have a great fun time belting most others off every set of lights

when stock I ran a supercharged VE GTS and beat him, on a sticky road with no wheelspin these things can do under 5 seconds 0-100km/h

www.google.com

above site is great to find out all you need to know

for 25k if you want something fast in a straight line, buy a hyabusa + turbo kit = cash left over for the funeral

Mate everyone on the Forum is obviously going to say go the Ford, but I'm telling you now, dont underestimate the STi.

My mate has an 06 WRX club spec or evo spec or something along those lines, and it is a very very pleasent car to drive, and the quality sh*ts all over our cars.

2 different cars though mate, if you wanna fly down the straight go the Ford. If you want to handle go the STi, but dont forget you can make STI's quick aswell.

like djgsta said, sti great all round, build quality is right up there. plenty of tuners around, does not take much to get them going either, for the price the sti specs are right up there. if buying a fg super fast down qtr but expect to pay if you want leather and so on. with the sti you have the best of everything already on there. just need to spend some money on tuning and so on. drive both and see how you go. does any one know what the sti does down the qtr stock? go to be very low 13s?

manual is for skyline drivers, sorry sir your on the wrong forum

well a manual fg xrt has gone very low 13's and 110mph

and sti's also go low 13's around 104mph

dont know how many hard launches they like though, roll it off the line and your low 13 sti becomes a low 14 sti, they seemed to have been getting slower and slower every year, the fords the opposite.

LOL, Dont know about you but I'd rather be a Driver (Manual) than a Pilot (Auto).

The auto is good, But it still doesnt have the third pedal.

Well do u want a 6 year old STi? Can you get FG T's for around 25K already??

1. 1/4 mile time- As others have said FGT's have gone very quick down the 1/4..

2. building potential- If you've done your research, than u will know that T's are probably the best bang for buck out there.. But u said in another post u wanna keep it stock??

3. or any other cars that I could by with 25 grand.- I'd be buying a BF2 6sp auto, with at least a tune..
