This thread is the perfect example why we should take forums and associated technical advice with a grain of salt... actually.. sh*tloads of salt... :buttonit:

Arrrrrgghhh!! Alright, ya forced me. Line lockers - WTF! Spend 40k+ and play boy games. No wonder ford f*cks everybody with warranty when we have sh*t discussions like this. Go and buy a sh*tbox VL turbo and put diesel on the road if line lockies are important to ya for fark suck. There, I warned ya, LOL.

dude ... the guy might wanna do one for a pre run burnout at the strip ... why make stupid comments like ya spend 40k on a car and actually have fun with it ... if ya think stuff like that's kids games and that go buy a prius or sumthing and leave the fun to the rest of us ... pfffft .. WTF is with the car scene these days soft as butter yall ...

Where's all the love gone you angry bitches?

dumbing raw fuel into the exhaust manifold to keep the turbo spinning is really only done on rally cars...

Pretty sure that's exactly what the FG does, allows unburt fuel to enter and burn in the exhaust manifold, hence why it sounds so rough.

Would it be a good idea to open a new topic on this launch control business? or just keep talking about it even though it has nothing to do with the original question? im not being a smart ass its just that ive tried to find stuff on here because yes just about everything is covered but its often covered on topics that are completly of topic to what I am looking for.. if that makes scence?? just saying..

Just keep it going Mick or theyll start again in the new thread and it'll be another thread with no answers.

What did you want to know?

From what I know it's more like a clutch destroyer.

Well as I said, havent tried it, but I have tried to use the launch control, and I am not good at it at all. I am better of lifting my foot of the cluch then stomping it, becuse if you try and do it like a car without laucnh contol, it will slip the clutch or make the car shake like a rodeo clown!

I have tried using the launch control or "launch assist" feature and I got it working quite well the first second time but the first time I just smoked the tyres... but that was because I dumped the clutch. if you let out the clutch normally and put about 1/2 to 3/4 acceleration and kind of feather it you will get a good launch.... ANYWAYS from what I have heard about this feature is that it cuts 2 of the cylinders and spools the turbo for maximum boost and it actually gives an extra 3% (or something) more boost through the turbo. Once the clutch has been re-engaged then all the cylinders re-engage and you have a quick acceleration. OR you smoke your tyres haha...

my two cents anyways.
