But his entire warranty is still void anyway yeah?

So far I see extensive modification to engine, running gear, suspension etc.. etc..

But the chassis will be Ok spoton.gif

Mate, there are two issues here. Warranty is gone once you tune - simple as that. Those that opt to tune their cars know it and accept it - eventually! Insurance, different animal. If you chop, trim, modify in anyway the factory bar, potentially your insurance is void. Why? Because you've changed the structural integrity from the factory. In a frontal, a savvy insurance assessor will pick it a mile away. That's why the PWR product is appealing - that's why it will be going on my car. Cheers, Bomber.

You should be able to mod it to make it fit. Not trying to be a *beep* but search using this item number on ebay - 200575334986. I'm a bit suss on it myself given old mate is a newby on ebay but...

interesting bomber thanks...

I messaged them and they want $220 just for the pipe off the turbo... that's half the price of the whole kit :/

I guess see how much modding of the Herrod is required and decide. $220 seems a bit steep but then again, it's p/coated and a straight bolt up. By the time you fluff around and cut n shut + re p/coat, maybe it might stack up. Did they say who makes them?

didnt say who makes them. I think not a brand name.

Kit includes silicone joiners, clamps and about 8 pipes lookin at pic for $439.

$220 for one pipe is way off, rather buy the whole kit and offload the herrod.

I replied saying its a bit steep for one pipe. said I wanted it raw and asked for better price.

See how you go. Bit of a f/around but given you're going to run the 4" inlet, a swap might be the go. You shouldn't have too much problem offloading the Herrod. Sorry if I complicated it for ya mate

Yeah guys - for me warranty isn't the issue here. Car is always kept standard for the first 2,000k's.... if anything big is going to be a call in the driveline, then it happens, is dealt with, and I mentally sign off and move on. Each to his own.

Wagnman - appreciate the comments. This stems from running Class in my rally driving days - it was very much a limited modification approach, where you had to use every brain cell you had to get the utmost out of your vehicle. No blunderbuss approach. I don't have as many of those brain cells now - but love starting a project with a goal in mind. Min 650ks from a tank on a trip, and the ability to tear up tarmac while overtaking a road train when we go out to the daughters cotton farm is the goal. And it's nice to have both.

Good discussion though....

tear up the tarmac - I like sucking the paint off cars when I pass them myself :beerchug:
