Have an f6 c.a.I.t.?

or even a a standard air box?

Want more cold air?

when tinkering away under the car doin the usual oil and filter change I noticed there was plenty of space to make an air ram from the factory fog light...

Now kids, what you will need today and ask your mum or dad to help so you dont hurt yourselves...: a 6 inch funnel, a utility knife, Phillips head screwdriver, 10mm socket, 7mm socket, pencil, flex lock tube, cable ties and a drill.

mark and cut the funnel so you can fit the tube to the funnel.

drill holes in the funnel and tube and attach the 2 with cable ties.

if the funnel has a handle, cut it off and file it smooth and remove any labels if you would like.

remove the front bar and drill a small hole in an inconspicuous place in the fog light hole in the top mounting clip and one in the matching position of the funnel.

cable tie the tube only end to the ac pipe in front of the air box to hold it in place while you refit the front bar over it.

cable tie the funnel to the fog light hole in the newly drilled holes.

extras: if you have a air deflector tray underneath the front bar refit it, if you dont have an f6 cold air you can cut out the front of the air box...

if theres anything ive missed, feel free to ask but anyway heres the pics.

I've seen the NA boys do this, would be handy for drag nights but I don't know about an everyday thing

yeah I know they are good for the brake ducts, that's how we did them on my mates bluebird track toy.

but as for the last couple of posts, have you got any points where you could make it better?

the pipe goes down, then up around the washer bottle, then up to the bottom of the head light. ok so the cable tie holding it to the ac pipe probably looks and sounds dodgy but take a look in that area and tell me what you would attach it to? its to hold it there while you refit the bar and for if you have to take the bar off your not trying to juggle the bar and it.

as mentioned above the pipe is not going straight like you can see in the photo also, it then stops at the base of the headlight. how do you foresee this to be a bother in the rain even so we are using oil coated air filters so where here does the problem lie?

I don't want to come across as crackin the sh*ts here but come on guys, dont come in here look, laugh and then go, make some constructive criticism. you know, "oh that looks cheap and nasty how about you try this... or someone did something similar - heres the link to the page...

just trying to get some ideas goin, all we have these days is a tiny rubber boot that cost us non typhoon owners $75 bucks off the net or a 20g plus car that came with that same piece on it hoping that that'll be enough to draw air from a fog light hole that doesn't even line up with the air box duct we have.

so lets here some points on which I can change this so we can make something of it.

come on guys, the concept works for brakes, lets have a dip at this.
