turn traction control off and she'll smoke the bags all day.

:pimp:

hehe. I've actually given the T a real caning off the lights with traction control on and the little red tyre flashes for 1st, second and third. Would be interesting to see what would happen without traction control. A new set of rears I suspect :) I still haven't got the guts to turn traction control off.

Here's a good question then....

How many sets of tyres do you think you will go through in a year?

How many sets of tyres have you already gone through?

What size/cost were your tyres?

Something I wouldn't mind knowing for when we want to "play"

teeheehee!

I thought the best burnout in an XR6Turbo would be in somebodies elses XR6T!

That way you don't stuff you're own tyres, and don;t run the risk of getting your own car confiscated. Quite frankly, burnouts are about as interesting as cardboard.

The real interesting thing is when you have a car on full noise going into a tight corner and holding the fastest mid corner speed that you dare!

aye - I've never understood the fascination some people have with drifting etc ... OK a little wiggle from teh tail under power on corner exit is fair enough... But it's not the fastest way to drive a car on the road.

I blame the computer games actually....

There's only a smal number that accurately simulate vehicle physics in such a way that you have to drive the car properly.

I'm still learning Bruce, so nowhere up to 'speed' so to speak, and part of that is to drive with the T/C off and geta feel for the intertia and throttle response from teh rear. So far I'm very encouraged - ulike a VY the rear end seems much much more controllable under power and more inclinded to catch and straighten rather than swing and hang.

Like Kitty I'm curious about what rubber people are putting on to replace the factory 17"s (Dunlop SP3000A).

I've seen the Dunlops advertised at $239ea and a same size Falken of pretty good reputation for about $180... Anyone tried other brands?
