Surprisingly there have been a few manual attempts to run a 10 sec quarter,

I have decided because I'm bored to have a go myself and will be doing so within the next two weeks!

I am in Brisbane now and I have had the pleasure of meeting and utilizing Mal Wood regarding the T56 & 6 boost regarding manifolds exhaust, fuel system etc.

The gearbox in the photos is a new spec magnum T56 from the states much stronger than the original, Mal and his team are extremely professional and I was impressed with there customer service and attention to detail.

6 Boost as you will no doubt see from the pics have left me with a dropped jaw regarding there exhaust and plumbing work. I would recommend both without hesitation if you are serious about modifications and the strengthening of BA, BF, FG. I will be running the car on street tyres to start with next week weather permitting, and then on slicks and front runners a week or so after that.

Wish me luck,

Spiro

This is what poeple usually think, however that is not always correct, you will notice long shifters on many race cars, the reason is the closer it is to your steering wheel the quicker you will shift, it does have a shifter kit as well so the actuall motion is short and precise.

Cheers

mate there has been serious attemps at manual 10's you don't hear much about them because no one has succeded yet , muzza for example put a lot into his effort 400+ rwkw all the gear slicks etc didn't even brake the 10 and muzza is suppose to be pretty quick on the shift too , I think XFT may be one of the first to crack it but that thing of theirs has 600 +rwkw last trip to the track broke the rear end so haven't seen the full potential of that car yet

My engine is setup is more than capable of 600+, however I do not believe you need that much to crack the ten's, I suppose we will soon find out.
