Diff Oil How Much?

hey guys im going to be changing my diff oil on my ba sedan , just a quick question how much oil do you need to fill it again?? and where abouts do you fill it from? and what is the best brand to use?

any help would be greatful. thanks

you will get about 1.5L into the diff. there is a big fill plug on the drivers side of the diff, I think it may be 32mm. big black bolt, cant miss it once you are under there.

I tried nulon gear oil but I didn't like it, the redline I had in there prior to that was much better, but my diff was on the way out.

EDIT: you are going to need one of those hand pumps from supercheap, or I have heard of people getting away with running some hose to the outside of the car to fill it. the fill hole is in an awkward spot.

like stated above, it takes about 1.5-1.6 litres. I've used, and have used for a second time Castrol SAF-XA. To fill it up, run some pipe through your driver side rear tyre through the rear suspension and into the big fill hole on the diff. Then fill till it reaches the fill hole.
