1. 82 Mitsu starion. Bought this in 1991. LAG, woah did this thing have lag. Stock it was so laggy, big heavy car being pushed by a bus motor and poorly matched TD06 turbo. It had an injection system that was basically a big carby with two big injectors in it... nasty stuff lol. It never got modded as it always had break downs... RACQ wrote a letter telling me it just had its tenth breakdown call out and I should bring it in so they can look at it... they looked, and looked some more

2. after a few years of V8s, I got another starion. This one had a forged bottom end and some headwork and a 3inch exhaust already, so I scored well here. I cranked the boost up, 20psi, made up some IC piping and a front mount and used a wolf3d to tune it. Stripped out the interior fully and added a pair of sparco seats and momo wheel. just used to nail it around at night and at wakefield until I got bored with it... it was pretty fast.

3. EA ghia. Got it as a base to turbo and it turned out fast... Garrett oil cooled T4, 550cc injector, tial ext gate, wolf 3d and all the usual turbo bits to go with it.

In the end it was up around the 300wkws mark, but with an open diff and 215 tires it was a sketchy ride LOL and it ate 3 autos... eventually 25psi killed the original 250ooo kay motor, well, didnt accually kill it... it still ran, just had the most ridiculas amount of blow by, a cloud would form while waiting at traffic lights LOL

4. ED falcon. Bought this one to swap all the turbo gear into. Same deal as the EA, but kept boost down to 18psi... only 180ooo kays on that motor hehe that motor never blew up either. 5 runs to QLD and back and lots of 18psi hits and 20hours on the dyno... I got that tune down nicley.

5. While I had the ED I bought a 96 Volvo 850Ra daily. 5cyl, 2.3 turbo motor ( same as in xr5 ), ZF 4sp auto. Awesome handling car, very hard susp from factoryawell balanced. I gave it 18psi with a chip from sweeden and a big front mount... it used to run with some quicker jap cars.

6.Sold the ED ( and A4 audi ) and traded the Volvo on the Rapid I now have. three cars down to one with an aim to stay standard and reliable... that didnt last long HAHA.

NA... never again thanks.

2.8 lt GU Patrol, now the BA Mk ii turbo. Looking for a 200sx to buy for around $18000.00, if such an animal exists, let me know.

Scotty

You can get a Jap spec 180sx even cheaper, and they go pretty hard correctly modded.

I know a 180 SX won round one of the NIZPRO day up here in QLD. But I dont like the look of them. I have always wanted a 200sx since they were released.

The other thing is I was going to buy a bike, but I dont trust myself, I want something I can take for a spin with the missus in the twisties and enjoy myself, well as much as I can before, I hear yelling "stop and let me out".

Scotty

PS I have approval to flog the GU patrol and buy a 200sx, on the condition I dont mod it, I agreed with fingers crossed.

My first turbo car was a Black 1991 Nissan 180SX (sileighty) SR20 with warm tune 5speed, trust intercooler, sequetnial BOV, black. wrote the damn thing off on a drive through the adelaide hills.

The XR6 is still a totally different car to the sport coupes from japan. apples and oranges.

My 2 cents
