Thanks for all the suggestions. The boot lid struts are a top suggestion. Never considered those. Its getting worse though. And the bang on the passenger side over bumps annoys the hell out of me.Well later today I start the upgrade process. Booked in for front and rear sways and I'll be looking around for some Konis. I don't want to lower it as I like the look of stock and if you look at my profile you will see she is a pretty little thing. So I'll have to do my research on springs too.In a few weeks, once I get out of hospital (going in this week for my 9th op in 3 years) I'll be going the custom tune down at Dandenong at HPF.On that, I know its been flogged to death, but whats the current thought on the centre muffler? What does it dfo and what does removing it do other than help the engine breath? I know this is off topic but I like to hear the experience of others.Cheers. I think I could have gone ther 30 mm bar up front but the rid may have been a bit harse. Quite nice now. It handled pretty good before but its heaps better now. Its now point and shoot, breaking feels better but it just doesnt feel so sloppy in the rear around corners. Early days yet. This is not a normal service item and costs extra. I doubt many people have it done. This is a shame because conventional wisdom is that cars get rattly and noisy as they get older. The fact is that good servicing can result in a car that is quieter than new.Bilsteins will remove a lot, and I mean a huge amount, of the noises that we think of as normal, and that in fact are normal for this type of car even when new. A lot of these standard background noises, even the ones that occur when say reversing out of a driveway, simply disappear when using Bilsteins. The story only gets better as the speed builds and or the road gets rougher. With respect to increasing sway bar sizes, I honestly have no idea why this is necessary in road going versions of these cars.Regards,aa Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/60616-ba-mii-rear-end-rattles/page/2/#findComment-922453 Share on other sites

I think its easy to go too big though Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/60616-ba-mii-rear-end-rattles/page/2/#findComment-922563 Share on other sites
