Hey,

I bought a bulge that I wanted grafted/painted onto my bonnet but most panel beaters are not interested in even talking about grafting. A couple of bodykit shops said they might be able to do it but I was wondering if anyone here knows anyone who could do this for me for a reasonable price.

So far ive been quoted $700 for grafting+painting.

Cheers,

Vebbers

Yeah mate,

The only place I'd say would do it, would be a fibreglass/bodykit sort of place.

$700 seems quite expensive, but I've never asked so that might be right on the money. Maybe a place like PHAT customs (Correct name?) in Dandenong could help out?

Other than that mate, I'm not really sure,

Good luck anyways,

Dan

for $700 you'd be better of not being a cheap charlie uniform november tango and buying a proper xr8 bonnet :P

haha..Dont worry, that thought came to mind but the bulge ive got is the 'custom' bulge which has the intake cut at the front, exactly like the XR8 bulge but which a slit at the front. I think it gives it a bit of unique look. its on the phat custom kits website.

Thanks for the help guys.

the name phat custom kits makes we want to explode in rage with there low quality fiber glass items

and painting procedures such as priming parts with acrylic primer and than painting over with 2k products

and forgot to add

when I got my bumper painted all the paint fell off due to the primer he used to give the look of gel coat

he just laid the mat strait into the mold with no gelcoat

so when my painter did it it just came off in big flakes

that's not very encouraging..

Sorry to near n1ck!

I did some more research, came up with 'Funky Customs' in Campbellfield, the website looks pretty good! Plus theyve been in business for about 15 years, gotta say something! If anyone has used/heard of this place (or any other place) please share your experience with them!

Thanx in advance,

Vebbers!
