Does anyone know where to buy the cogs directly for cheap, as a local 2nd hand parts store is selling them for $60! Surely they're not even worth $30. On the right side of the door push the plastic clip through. This will give you some slack on the cable.Remove the lock using a T30 bit.Swing the black clip holding the bar clockwise and remove the bar.With the lock now out undo wire harness.Undo the 2 screws to remove the actuator from the lock.Undo the 4 screws securing the 2 halves together. Carefully pull the 2 pieces apart. There are 2 springs inside that can fly out.Remove the broken gear and glue the gear back together. (Selley’s Quick Fix)Using a 2.5mm drill bit drill down the centre of the gear.Using the appropriate tap, tap the hole ready for a 2.8mm screw.Put a drop of glue down the hole and screw the 2 pieces together.Install in reverse orderGood LuckBig thanks to XR06T for donating the broken gear. got me a new cog from a guy for $19 on ebay who bought 10 and only ended up needing 1.followed your directions except I unplugged the electric windows before removing door screws and undid the lock harness before unscrewing the lock.cheers brother Edited 03/08/11 11:29 AM by mwoonkey Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
