Gotta say its a surprising poll I didnt think it would be both ends of the spectrum's like it is, I thought it would be mostly round the middle..

Im not voting until you do a <$600 bracket. Then you would be even more surprised I reckon at how many there are down at this level.

The higher earners on this site, Pay more taxes, spend more money and are most likely in more debt.

Somebody on $20k per year could be richer than me if they save their money. Being rich is how much you SAVE, not how much you EARN.

that's exactly right, its the outgoings you need to keep well under control, not the incomings.

the successful formula to money is you always need about 10% more than you earn,work that out you will be right.Cheers Nick

Not quite that simple, we pay a lot more for our stuff than you do in the States so in the end, the US comes out on top.

Things are more expensive here than in the States as well, though not as much. And like I said, I did the conversion to see what I was making in AUD.

Thanks for fixing the poll, BTW. Now us poor folk who own their own businesses and have a full time job besides can vote. :Imwifhim:

HAHAHHA! Sounds good. I've actually done the reverse, before. Calling a Kiwi an Australian at a party once. He reminded me he was from New Zealand, and I started apologising. "That would be like calling me an American. I might have to get wooly with ye if you did that."
