Hi, thought I would post my details as follows:

BA XR6 NA

CAI

Pacer Headers

Hi flow cat & 2.5" exhaust

Powerdrive underdrive pulley

ECU edit (Bob Romano Performance Motors Brisbane)

188.7 rwKW''s (4th gear manual)

I thought that's a fair effort for an NA - drives and sounds very smooth.

Cheers

James

gday mate whats CAI stand for?

Hi Romanoo,

Have the 4490's installed.

Two weeks after the tune and very happy - definitely has some additonal pickup :-)

Getting traction to the rear wheels seems a problem now. Have to be careful at the lights not to dial in to much loud pedal.

- damm I wonder how those turbo's manage to maintain any grip at all !

JPY

a large set of feet in the rear guards seem to do the trick..

When I get my tax moolah back I'll be dropping in a set of Crows stage 2 cams as well as a flash tune.

tekani, that's similar to what I did with the airbox. I had a 25mm piece of dwv running from either side of the headlights connecting to the airbox. I got rid of it soon as I got my typhoon intake, didn't see much of a difference really, I don't think the original set up would have been all too efficient haha.

I got my stock BF 1tonner 5spd Dyno'd, just for interests sake - 137.9rwkw (48K km).

(It might have hit the speed limiter? I think its 175km/h in the 1tonner. But its tappering off anyway)

Hey guys so I have a 2009 fg g6 completely stock except my knn air filter and “2.5” red back exhaust system I’m on my red p plates so can’t do a whole lot with the car and am getting told a lot of different things will work best so I’m just trying to see what other people have done and getting a few extra inputs was thinking about going for the extractors and high flow cat before a tune is it really worth it or am I better off just re tuning until I can go for the supercharger or turbo??

Get a LSD first and foremost. BF diffs will fit your fg but not Ba (obviously FG diffs will also fit but that shouldnt need be said). High flow cat and headers will help loads. Look around if you can find a second had CAI. I picked up a growler and custom piping for $200. Also save a bit of money for a 20% underdrive pulley. A tune after all that would tie it all in nicely but holding off till you get a turbo is purely up to how much money you are willing to throw at it, because no matter what it will need to be tuned or re-tuned once you get a turbo.
