People tend to think that this is impossible because it would mean that you could in theory wind your clock back by putting in another cluster, well you can do that with nearly any car. The FG's record the VIN I believe in the cluster stopping you from doing this. We have not found anywhere in the pcm or bem where the ODO is supposedly stored. As for a DTC, it is a fact that a DTC is not set when the odo is changed. I have verified this on a car. But the cluster does record the number of changes that have been made to it on a counter which we think may be accessible by ford.Just remember that an ODO can only be changed by Ford when the odo is less the 100km and then it can only be done 3 times, then the cluster locks out any change, unless you re program the eeprom. I have fitted numerous different clusters to different cars and have never come across any issues.I hope that clears up a few things.Matt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
