Is that your car? I pick mine up week after next finally !! and had been lookin for a similar lookin pic (mines phantom too) to put on there, so I tried lookin for pic's on carsales kunder dealer cars thinkin well if I use a car from there it won't belong to a private owner lol :dontknow: How's this one? that's the actual car.

yeh its a hard one.. yeh well spetember- october is an iffy month down here can be a bit wet.. like today.. and can be hot.. we have our annual show on the 23rd of october.. farmers always say " its show time, bit of rain about" so maybe a bit later might be better? would rather u guys have some nice weather then not!!

the "shoulder" season on the boat is also from 14 sept- 13dec so even november might be good!!??

Well partly selfish I have a Golf trip in Corowa every Caufiled Cup weekend in October so was lookin to try and combine the 2 so I wouldnt need to take 2 seperate annual leave dates from work. As the weeks tick over the Spirit of Tas site updates with new prices etc. im still looking into accomodations along the route that was suggested earlier by ETM so will post those when I have them.

Hey Robbo,

yeah I thought of that, plus if we go over during the day pretty much are paying for an extra nights accomodation. See what others think aswell. So far looks like Sept-Oct 2009, as this is off peak and thus freakin' cheaper but also enough time to plan thing really well.

Although you want to make sure everyone's right for the first day's drive. Unless we were to stay in say Davenport the first night and spend the day having a look around, possibly even getting some fuel reserves etc and getting everyone up to speed with what the routes were, and when we planned to reach each okace each day and all that. I'm open to suggestions nothing set in stone yet.

Hey Robbo,

I was thinking first week of October?.......Do you have or can you get any info on Symmons Plains? I had a look on the V8 Website, and the Tassie round is in November so I dont know if that would make it hard for us if we wanted to have a race/drag day or not ?

Ok guy's,

going with ETM's suggested route (not confirmed just an option so keep ideas coming) I have looked at a few places for us to stay at and the links are below.

http://www.bookitnow.com.au/accdetails.aspx?ghid=1379

These are just a few of what was available. The ones above have accomodations to lodge 20 plus people, and that have fairly decent rates. I am also getting a listing of Caravan Parks together and will post those details when I have more.

Hi all,

starting to get a few more costings which is good, added to the links to accomodation above looks like caravan parks average prices are:

Cabin $90-$100 a night ( 2 people $12-$15 for extra person )

Camp Site $10-$20 a night ( depending on whether it's a powered site )

The places I have contacted can accomodate up to 30 odd people so at this point I just want to remind anyone who is interested to please let me know. Some places have said that booking's for the Sept-Nov time period in 2009 are best to have booked March-April 2009. So either pm or just in the thread like a normal cruise is fine.

Cheers

Brad
