Share Posted 15/11/20 01:10 AM Posted 15/11/20 01:10 AM Share Aiming for a top of 41 and the power has been out all day. Could be worth getting a Powerwall just for days like this.
Share Posted 15/11/20 02:17 AM Posted 15/11/20 02:17 AM Share Pretty sure they don't work with power outages, was at a mates place when the 3 phase went out and that was my first question to him while I was laughing... 19 hours ago, bloodycrashboy said: geckos are on the rampage had to buy a new aircon cos of the little bastards but my aircon installer said that 9 years was a pretty good lifespan for up here that means only one thing looks like I'll be buying another couple in the near future Fuji would have been my last choice these days! I had 3 in my house and a mate with a new house had 9 which he now has Mitsubishi instead but also said they were no better. Insurance replaced one of mine with a Daikin and for cleaning things like the drum disassembly was something they thought about! I live in an old high set so mould growth is the king here... Nothing the Karcher doesn't fix but! 18 hours ago, Rab said: Get a cat or frog or whatever predator that eats geckos They're full of worms (hook I believe) so the animal needs constant worming not to mention the risk for a human also unless you wanted to lose some weight! Share Posted 15/11/20 02:21 AM Posted 15/11/20 02:21 AM Share It depends how you've got it hooked up. There are substantial rebates if you become part of a virtual grid but it doesn't work when the power goes out. You can get it hooked up to work when the power goes off but you lose all the rebates. I suppose a generator or two would do the job too.
Share Posted 15/11/20 04:33 AM Posted 15/11/20 04:33 AM Share I'm sure somebody would half-arse a switching system to allow you to get the rebate and also be able to work when the grid is offline, but would require a manual switching of some sort... just speculating, realistically.
Share Posted 15/11/20 04:40 AM Posted 15/11/20 04:40 AM Share Yeah you'd think that it could work like that anyway hey. What do you reckon @JETURBO? I'll have to do some more reading when the time comes to get a battery, cos the legislation changes fairly often for various reasons.
