That’s good. At least you are enjoying it. Money is always better in the private sector than the government side but it evens out if you know where to look (depending on what sector of course)

Oh yes of course tbh im enjoying the slower  pace.... I was actually retired for 2 years did a lot of what I wanted to do and then was getting abit bored (especially since my wife still works) so got back into working more for just keeping my self active....

I was an engineer/product development/ tech specialist for an international HVAC manufacturer so I worked here & overseas etc... now I'm the 2IC of a NSW Health districts engineering department so it's deffs a much slower pace I'm lucky I work with blokey blokes most of the time so I really can't complain :) especially with covid situation some poor buggers can't even get work.... 😞

@Tom Tucker your 100% correct there's not a lot of accountability some people whinge and whinge all day long and I find it hilarious... don't get me wrong I manage some highly skilled people.. I also have some people

so incompetent for the role they are in its just laughable

Oh, you are management. Well in that case, good luck getting anyone to do anything they don't want to do. The odds are stacked against you my friend. Same advice applies though. You'll escape any sort of performance scrutiny so long as you identify as an oppressed minority. The less factual the better.

Been waiting for a parcel delivery through aramex for fkn ages now....

Its been in Perth for since the 17th of September, they seem to be really struggling to delivery a parcel to an apartment complex 🤦‍♂️

It really isn't that hard.

Apparently they "attempted a delivery" with no success, but I was home and no bell rang and no calling card was left. According to their tracking system, the parcel is "on board for delivery today" since the 1st. that's one hell of a long day.

there was an article about their backlog just recently where they have warehouses full of wrapped pallets that have been sitting for weeks untouched because of staffing issues and constant covid restrictions and isolation rules.

I kind of get the isolation issues, it’s big, even for us, rotations and any sortie usually ends up in the whole place isolating

@Puffwagon Yea that was the FIRST time they tried to deliver it!

Second time, the status has changed to "Failed Delivery - Remove mis-grouped parcel". This is what its remained at since the 1st.

So while I agree with what you're saying @MBAF, this isn't a staffing issue. This a pure f*ck up on their side. wtf does "remove mis-grouped parcel" even mean ffs.

Guess I'll find out once I get a response from them in the next week or so.

Had a few cubic metres of concrete rubble and bricks in the back corner of the yard I needed to move to the front of the block to get rid of. Plus a large number of rocks out the front I want to use for landscaping out the back. Moved it all by hand over the weekend so feeling the body today!

Skip coming tomorrow so I can throw it all in and be done with it. Better get the wife's car out if the driveway before the skip comes!
