Sounds like a long painful process that will end up with Exxon paying you to leave:riaa:  and buying the land of you.

I was under the impression that the Freedom of Information Act gives you a legal right to request access to documents held by state government agencies, and local councils.

When you're in court get your barrister to say, gimme money meow.

The problem is ... if I had to put money on it... they’ve gotten away with no safety stuff or epa issues for years and their own staff have no whs practices we can tell or ppe they wear on a daily basis. So ya asking questions isn’t just about us, if we ask the right people they will need to audit which could mean millions in construction alterations, whs policies and things brought in, as well as a possible finding of other people/ businesses effected as well who weren’t aware and will demand compensation.

Big lot of ifs and butts... but after spending upwards of ten million on just our project alone, as well as the cost of 50 years of revenue, they’re trying to make us go away imo.

After requesting an an informal meeting with us to inform us of our safety requirements being their neighbour, as soon as the word “jet fuel smell” was raised, informally, the meeting turned into 7 people on their side rather than a one on one informal chat.

Will be interesting to see how it unfolds

This is all I'm saying there has to be some form of damage, physical or monetary for compensation. Just because they didn't follow 'laws' will only bring about fines to the company. Its always best to strike a deal then go to court. Find a good lawyer preferably one that is not on drugs.

Dennis Denotu has experience in airport property litigation and rights - probably worth seeing if he'll be interested in looking into the case @Princess Fluffy.
