HI I have a ba xr6 n/a with a colder thermostat fpv cold air intake and exhuast and also custom tune from C&V pulling 181.8 rw/kw. I like to known what you think. I service it ever 5000km. If I use a after market fuel filter after 3000km the car has LOST POWER if I use motorcraft fuel filter no problem but every where I tryed to get one no one sells it. Does anybody known were to get one or do I have to go to ford. THANKS

When it comes to the oil and fuel filters I use the genuine items.

There are exact copies of Ryco filters out there and they skimp on the material and I know of more than one person who has lost an engine because the casing spilt.

Personally, I think you're wasting your money changing the fuel filter so often.

I stay with the motocraft filters over the counter at ford. One less thing they can whine about if the need for a warranty claim comes about

I wouldnt leave the same fuel filter on for more than 12 months... seen some DIRTY filters after 12 months!

back in the wogtune days, a new fuel filter changed my AFR's from 13.3 to 12.7, tell me that's not SLIGHTLY safer than a $30 saving being a tightass.

I didn't mention anything about leaving it on there for 12 months.

Spending $30 on a filter is a lot safer than getting a wogtune! :B):
