hulk xr6t I don't have any evidence as such but when I blocked the BOV there was little more turbo lag in between gear changes. It took a little longer to spool up, wasn't a big difference but just enough to notice it. I guess that all the air flowing back through the turbo slows it down a little more then when it's vented out.

I just did it. Here's a vid. I back off with no boost, then about 1/2 boost then flat to the floor as you can see on the boost gauge. It's pretty loud!

Let me know what you think. I might leave it on for the cruise, either that or blocked BOV for some dose like the vids above. Enjoy!

Does anyone know how to stop it from surging completely? If you listen to the full boost back off, it's surging as well as venting. How do you make it so it doesn't surge at all? Do you need a stronger BOV that's made specifically to vent?

Cheers

OK, installed it this morning.

Stock ute, no tune (with Xforce boost gauge running off the vaccuum line).

All the flutter has gone, totally. Gauge is showing its coming on boost, and it definitely feels like it, but I just can not get it to flutter at all.

So Ill probably take it off later today or tomorrow. :(

Ok guys, a bit confused as to what to do with the little hose that you need to uplug from the BOV (the one th pink arrow points to in the first pic).

I bought a Monza filter, so I will have to mount the bov turned around(the same as seventytwo's pics), but the original short hose doesn't seem long enough to reconnect, and in seventytwo's pics it seems to be plugged into a hose comming from another direction?

the short hose closest to the firewall should be blocked with a stopper, the hose that runs under the crossover to the middle of the crossover should stay connected
