I think the later model BAI and onwards ones have a special program that pulses the control valves to clear them. I think. Don't quote me on that. Something along those lines to keep them clean. Ford told me that it was these filters causing the VCT to become out of phase???They did something? Changed them or what ever, it has happened a couple of times since though.
