Whats that top pipe for? So this filter, where/what/$$$???????

Got the filter from Earls, it was around $66 + fittings which were around $20.

Cut and silver soldered the pipe myself.

The top pipe is the oil breather line to the intake, as I have a Nizpro kit on my car.

I had that exact same thing happen to my VL Calais turbo wagon many years ago. Only difference was that my wheel had half the fins smashed off it. I still have it lying around somewhere, so if I find it, I'll post a pick.

Did you remove the pipe from the car or do it in situ?

Did it in situ, that is, cut the pipe, did the 'difficult side' in situ, and removed the turbo side and soldered this on the bench.

Took about 1 hour to do all up.

great work Ninka, so are you wanting to go into production of these? would be lots of demand here.

=)

or would you like to put together a "how to" with part numbers, and step by step?

could be put as a sticky, would be a very popular mod.

Truely painful experience just recently had the same thing found the wheel in the cat and yes about 2 weeks before I had the pipe blow off so I was just intrested to see how removing the oil screen went for you a success or have you found another way around this problem ????
