How To Check Actuator And Wastegate Operation

Get a air compressor with a air blower fitting and connect it to the hose on the actuator and ever so slightly give it a little air pressure and listen to see if flap opens.

I have had the flap in the turbo housing stick open before.

And at the moment I think I have a spilt in actuator membrane.

Just furthering on beauies comments. It would be a lot safer to have the airline attached to a regulator so you don't blow the actuator diaphram to pieces. Then you can also test the accuracy of your actuator spring...
