True mate, that would be a laugh and worth some fame on youtube for all to see.

The power we have is certainly getting up there and the respect the turbo fords are getting especially the phoons is good news.

I love reading these sorts of threads. Mine runs 320rw which beats everything (bar a bloody ninja bike) that I've come up against. I have the usual wad of wrx/skyline/tt soarer boys at work who think mines the ducks guts. But when I tell them oh no, I'm only small fry, I know of 400rwkw+ boys, they're gob smacked with a common reply of "but its a taxi.....". Keep em coming.

I try to convince my fiance that 320 isnt enough and whats an extra 4 or 5k for bottom end/misc work to get me to the magic 400 but she thinks our wedding in 11 months and putting a house on our block is more important. I know she's right, well, most of me.........although...

Trust your judgment. 320m isn't enough. You know you need more. Don't give in now, otherwise you'll be doomed to domination by 'she who must be obeyed at all times without question'. Be strong my friend!

I've got a 332rwkw tune and after 1 day I told CV I want a bit more. My wife says I should just stick dynamite up my arse and light the fuse.

Power has a half-life of a few weeks.

500 is not that hard these days

I dont know about that one mate there's not many cars running 500rwklw let alone on our dyno the only XR6T/F6 that we have seen was Spiko's car which made about 570 rwklw

Ambiguous post : are you saying it is hard or not.

With strong internals being used now, bigger injectors, extractors, larger turbo, big exhaust etc now the 500-500 engine kw can be obtained without too much difficulty. You can get these components from Nizpro off the shelf…. E.g Shane in Qld has done.

That not many people have gone there is because of cost and because it is way over the top for a street car, or if a drag car that stronger components again are required.

As for Spiko, he was often on the phone to me discussing problems, and when you push towards 600rwkw you need much deeper pockets.

Personally I think in an auto around 410-440rwkw is a good “sweet spot” in a very high-powered auto, with the proviso top brakes, very sticky tyres and good suspension…. And say 50rwkw more in a manual.

Above these levels be prepared for a lot more breakages, and always have a backup car available.

If you don’t use top brakes, very sticky tyres and good suspension then you are living very dangerously. I think there is far more potential to get yourself into trouble in a high powered auto, and in that regard would prefer the manual.

Damned straight, watch out for the kickdown in manual mode once you pass the TPS threshhold in an A6. Could be very nasty in the wet :sleepystuff:
