Also with generic tunes you usually get the following:

1) Valet mode (restricted to 3000rpm)

2) 8psi (95RON)

3) 10psi (98RON)

Remember not everyone gets the same results from these setups.

The other option is to get a "custom" tune done. This is where a certified tune has the ability to twick the setting of you tunes to achieve optimum results.

Go the custom tune or at the least throw it on the dyno to check the AFR of the generic tunes.

Thanks for your replies.

Is a custom tune based on your current mods?

My car is a standard BA turbo.

Will the 10psi be ok for a standard car???

Cheers.

yes your car will will go well with just a custom tune mabye upgrade the

air filter to a K&N or BMC filter and a 2nd cold air intake and

should help.

Have had my XR6T for more than month now.

Have been enjoying its performance but have been wondering about the capa box with a generic tune for my car.

Is A BF mk 2 '07 Turbo with 6spd auto..

All I want to do is plug in and upgrade not change any timings on spark plugs etc...

what sort of performance should I expect?

0-100 times

1/4 mile etc...

from the latest motor mag review of the BF mk 2

has 0-100 as 5.8sec

14 sec 1/4 mile

would like to see if it is worth mucking with my w'tee

I was in the same situation 6 months ago with my BF1. Im just running the generic tunes from C&V and on 10psi she goes like the clappers. No sparkys or timing changes made and she has run sweet since it was done. Not one hiccup to date. But if you can do get the custom tune and simple stuff like 2nd CAI etx.

I.B.
