can of appropriate lubricant... $5-10. No need to ever buy a solenoid again (barring extreme circumstances, of course :P )

Open one up and see what you are trying to lubricate. Then get back to me. Does more harm than good. May as well squirt the WD up you arse.

If it doesn't move and it should, WD-40 (or a more appropriate silicon lubricant, probably)... if it does move and it shouldn't, duct tape!

New one from ford for a FG xr6 turbo was $52. Got it the other day and drives a lot smoother. Don't see the point in doing maintenance when you can just replace it.
