I have a very annoying problem with my T in that when I first start her of a morning the belt squeaks like buggary. Its not slipping and only tends to do it in the colder months.

I heard on old tale that you put a little Sunlight soap on its ment to shut it up... DOES NOT WORK. I have even tried a little WD40 with no luck :spoton: . When I wack some WD40 on it it stops but the next day when I start her again im back at the beginning.

Thanks in advance

Get a BF!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem, they fixed it but would come back every 15000km.

Eventually they must of fixed it for sure as it has not come back.

I am sure they replaced the Top Idler Pulley. There is nothing wrong with the belt.

Did they say what they did to it??

Get the tension on the belt checked... it can be fixed. Like anything rubber it will stretch slightly over time, so re-tightening is necessary. Mine is starting to make a noise again but I havent heard it since the last service (its due in a couple of thou)

I doubt its the belt even though I have no mechanical experience or knowledge and probably should shut up. I think the pulleys are squeaking and the belts get blamed a lot.

Definately dont get this problem on BF.
