Hey people,

Just wanted to know what is the standard width of the factory 18" rim and how wide people have gone particularly in the front.

Already decided what rim being 19s, just need to know if can go 8.5 wide or whether will have to stick to 7.5 wide.

Rims are here... http://www.xhpwheels.com/wheels_jet.html

Cheers,

Ford Grunt (Ben)

Hi Ben,

I have 19x8.5 on the front & 19x9.5 on the rear with 235/35 & 275/30 tyres. The fronts fit no worries, but the backs occasionally rub on the inside of the wheel arch if you go up a steep driveway on an angle, its fine if your not going too fast.

Cheers,

Steve.

my bro got a set of fr19's for his ba.. front are 8.5's and fit no worries, but the back are 9.5's and if lowering it, you need to roll the guards. this is a sedan btw.

Hey people,

Thanks for your quick response.

Ive placed the order today for 19 x 8.5 (rims are not made in 9.5) for the XHP rims Style: Jet in Chrome finish (see link above) from Bob Jane for $2,600 with tyres.

Also got DBA slotted rotors on today as well.

Nice ride vibe ute btw.

Cheers,

Ford Grunt (Ben).

Thanks Ben,

what brand of tyres did you order, when I bought my wheels they had Nankang's on them, they gripped pretty well, but were quite noisy. I traded them on Kumho's which are about $100 per tyre dearer, but are heaps quieter and so far (3000km) have excellent grip. Those 5 spokes will look great in 19's, are you going to lower it? Cheers,

Steve.
