Well, where aould I go?

I've heard that the place that installs sunroofs for Ford/FPV does cars for the public as well? This being the case you could basically get a factory sunroof done aftermarket.

The cost isn't the issue, getting right is.

Any help would be swell.

Thanks,

BA_Turbs

PS - I need places in Melbourne/Victoria!

These guys fit the "factory Sunroofs" into you car at the Ford production line. When I talked to them earlier this year, the price for fitting is the same after market as the factory option - No difference!!

You need to give up your ride for 1 week I believe for installation.

Go for it! :crybaby:

Thanks for the reply!

Just rang them and the dude quoted $2,300, but would deal further in person, but not over the phone. Ca be completed in one day of vehicle is dropped pff at 8.30am and collected after 5pm.

Its actually for my Grandad's Fairmont Ghia, he calls it a "sunshine roof". However, at 84, he's entitled to call it whatever the hell he wants.

see who supplies and installs webasto hollandia in victoria..... They are the same as the factory sunroofs with a couple of extra goodies.... The dealer gave me their number here in Brisbane, as I could get it cheaper from there then the dealer as a factory option... he said if a customer wants a sunroof after delivery they use these sunroofs and its the same as the factory one plus a few goodies.

My quote was $1850 when I got it 2 months ago... I recogn I could of got a hundred or so off as this was their first offer to me.

Too true, the hollandia can be installed by anyone specialising in sunroofs, but these guys are very familiar with the BA so I'd have more confidence in their quality of work IMO.

like is mentioned in this thread earlier, a webasto supplier/fitter is your best bet... well done in finding a thread from 2005, too :mole:
