Andrew50 Member 75 Member For: 19y 3m 24d Posted 04/05/05 07:24 AM Share Posted 04/05/05 07:24 AM Need some help,Since my "T" is my first turbo car, I need some advice on a strange noise I hear occasionally. Car is booked in for a service and some warranty work next week and I don't want to appear completely ignorant and would like to have some knowledge behind me.Noise occurs when accelerating hard enough from take off for the turbo to start to spool up and then having to back off suddenly for traffic etc. It's sounds like a very loud flutter on decceleration. Is it possibly wastegate flutter or a heat shield rattle? I have checked the shields and they appear OK. Thanks for any advice.
