I'm currently looking at a new cover for the back of my T, and am contemplating a roller/shutter type (I’m sure they have a proper name) to provide the compromise between security and the convenience of not completely removing the standard hardcover to carry a taller load.

Does anyone have one of these installed, if so could you please provide feedback in relation to:

- brand/manufacturer/installer (where to get the little suckers)

- type (as in motor driven or spring retracting)

- price

- space consumed (at the front of the tray)

- aesthetics (do they look like crap in the flesh)

- negative aspects (do they rattle after a few k’s)

- other recommendations or aspects that may have slipped my simple mind

thanks,

Trent.

Tab I have one on my ute. I will post some pics tomorrow with some daylight to take them in.

The good part is it doesn't leak water and even at a car wash you may just get a drop or 2 in.

It was from Bluey's in Melbourne and cost about $2200.00 or there abouts.

Very practical and secure though.

That would be fantastic. I had a look at their website a few weeks back and the photos didn't give away too much.

thanks,

Trent.

They look tops but I have heard they are noisy buggers, with the "slats" so to speak having a little bit of movement each when you hit little bumps etc, but it couldn't be worse than the Factory hard cover bouncing occasionly and making a clunk.

I was interested in getting one of these myself, but for $3500 I couldn't justify the extra $2000! that's a widescreen TV!! And I still think the factory ones looks best.

Yeah, Just emailed them and found out the cost is at least an extra $2000 over a hardcover, I think I will stick to the hardcover idea.

OUCH!

Wasn't quite prepared for that sort of price - looks like it will be the poverty pack model if anything (or the standard toneau) ! Thanks for the feedback guys.

Trent.
