:spoton: I've not had my xr6 very long and because of my work don't get to drive it as often as I'de like, I'm thinking of getting a power up kit ,so who can help an APS or CHIPTORQUE kit

Has anyone else noticed that this is brutebogart's only post ever; and it's had over 80 replies.

Must be some sort of record.

I'll put this in lamens terms.

The other day I stopped at the end of the M2 motorway and pulled onto old windsor road and hit the accelerator hard. The street I intended to turn into was around 300 metres away or less. In a matter of seconds I was easily over 100ks because of the ability of the car to accelerate that hard. To make the corner I had to smash on the brakes something savage and to be honest they didn't do the best job of stopping the car in time, but they managed.

Point being, if they were standard brakes I feel I would have missed the turn. A Faster accelerating car has the potential to reach high speeds quicker, and thus in most cases should be able to stop quicker. Better brakes enable this.

Sure, if that is the way you regularly drive (0 to 100+, then back to, what, 15 km/h, all in 300m or less, and in an 80km/h (?, at best 100) zone), then I would agree that better-than-standard brakes are the best choice for you (and the rest of us). However, I wonder whether driving like that, in that particular situation, is the best idea, even if you car is capable of it (big brakes or standard).
