  1. So I thought I would post a little log of my F6. I purchased the car in early 2019 trading in my G6ET for this 2009 FG F6 MK1 in Lightning Strike I purchased the car stock besides a Process West Stage 2 intercooler. I knew it needed diff bushes and some of the other usual wear and tear parts on falcons, however I was a little bit too excited about getting my F6 and overlooked a few things. When driving it home I noticed the trans was slipping from 3rd to 4th. So I decided to book it into CMS for a new trans and a PWR heat exchanger as well as a retune to hopefully prevent it happening in the future. The car made 282rwkw basically stock which I was very impressed with for now. I then bought some Michelin Pilot Super Sports all round to hold traction(I didnt have a lot of issues with traction in the first place but with future plans I think this was a good choice) I had noticed the gearbox was slipping when cold and acting up again. However I put it down to it not being topped up with fluid correctly. I put up with this for a little bit to long, being hesitant of where to book the car into. Over the past few years I had heard great things about hoontune, and now Precision Racing so I decided I would save and get my next round of mods from them. So roughly 9 months later I booked it into Precision Racing for a transmission and gearbox service and their stage 2 package which consisted of: - 4" Dump and Cat, twin 2.5" Catback exhaust - Wastegate Mod and upgraded actuator - 1000cc Bosch injectors - Intank walbro 460 Fuel pump - Silver racing spark plugs - 4" Race airbox and battery relocation - GFB Fuel presssure reg - Speedflow Turbo feedline kit BEFORE AFTER The guys at Precision Racing had great customer service and were awesome to deal with. I cant speak highly enough of them. The car feels amazing being my daily driver, I was shocked at the drivability of it. A long term goal for me was to have a 10 second street car so hopefully I will eventually get there. But due to a busy work schedule and my other commitments I think that can wait a little while. As of right now I dont have any big plans for the car, I want to tidy up the bay, get some gauges and possibly a kayhan ICC.   3. Hi guys I'm new to this forum and FPV for that matter and was wondering if any knows roughly how many rwk I would get out of a full 4in xforce exhaust on my 09 fg F6 with no other mods any info on this would be very helpful Cheers
  4. Hi gang, Every tuner I have spoken to either prefers a particular injector or drills out your existing ones when they give it a custom tune. Does it matter? Should I just let them do what they advise? Or, if I can get good injectors cheap, will I save on a tune? Or will the tuner say nah mate dont use them. I am looking for a mild tune to get me close to 350rwkw - nothing wild. They all say they can do that with just a tune and injectors. Is there a minimum flow rate I should be looking for to get 350? What are your experiences with your choice of injectors (or your tuner's choice as it may have been..)? Cheers, TJS .
  5. I have the rear territory upgrade 328mm ventilated rotors (non Brembo) on my FGXR6T. Can anyone recommend a good rear pad? Best I have found that fits is the Ferodo DS Performance. Don't want to spend more than $300-$400 too. Thanks.

Hey guys im fairly new to this forum and just wanted to discuss some mods im thinking of doing, first thing I wanna do is XYZ coilovers front and rear as I owned a R33 skyline and the f6 feels like a bus in corners compared to the R33 also im not to fond of the f6 stock height, second thing is the rapidsystems intake and battery relocation kit as I don't like the crossover, third is custom 4" to 3.5" turbo back with varex muffler at the end so its nice and loud and with a press of a button I can close it up and be fairly quiet drone isn't an issue either and I think the xforce system is to quiet for my liking, fourth thing is a tune im yet to choose on who should do it? I live on the central coast about an hour north of Sydney. So that's the engine and suspension now the interior, wheels and body. First is pillar mount boost gauge yes I know I have one already but I like the look of the single boost gauge on the pillar, Second is wheels I wanna go for a fitment look so I want black dish and and big offset, rear stretched tyres, im yet to find a rim I like. Third is carbon fiber vinyl roof. So that's about it guys tell me what you think no haters please. :newrussian:
  7. Well my accountant is on my back again to try and get something newer than what I currently have due to tax reasons and claiming the maximum depreciation. So it looks like I will be probably putting the FG on the market in the next coming weeks. Just out of curiosity what would be looking at getting for it? Maybe there is a buyer on the site who is interested.. would rather sell it to someone on here than put it on carsales.. Some quick facts: 2008 FPV F6 310 Approx 62000 kms - Always Serviced at Ford. Colour: Dash Automatic Sunroof Leather FPV Floor Mats Factory Premium Sound, and all speakers have been replaced with MTX. Includes 2 x 12" MTX Subwoofers in custom enclosure built into boot. Foose 20" Rims + Original FPV rims (no tyres) GFB Blow Off Valve Tuned by Autotech Engineering (Performance Tune) over 310kw at the wheels. SS Inductions Cold Air Induction Kit - Growler Etc Brand new DBA front discs and rotors (1 week old) FordXR6Turbo.com Stickers (Front Windscreen and Rear Screen) Few scratches on front bar due to going up the driveway (front bar left) Usually only driven for short trips, meetings and to my parents house (who live 15 mins away). Will be taking some photos soon and uploading them (just need to get it washed after all this damn rain we have had the last few days). I am interested in some serious offers.. and will also list this in the classifieds shortly and then on carsales probably next week. Will entertain offers high 40ks with the extras..
  8. Hey all, I've finally got my act together and am considering buying a second hand FG F6 in the next few months. Sadly, finances will not stretch to a new F6, but considering some early models are not much more than a nice XR6T, it's really a no brainer for me... I am just interested to see how the older (2008 or 2009) FG F6's stack up against the newer ones (2010 onwards) In terms of reliablity and common issues. I'd be considering a 2008 or 2009 FG F6 with between 30 and 50 xxx on the clock. Looking for a stock example with whatever options come with it. Not looking to mod hugely but would consider some basic mods. Maybe injectors, pump, cat and tune - 300 or so at the wheels would be nice. Also curious to see how the car would respond to these mods in terms of longevity and reliability with a good tune and a fairly easy driving style. Are parts/maintenance concerns any more demanding or expensive than an XR6T? Always wondered how expensive pads/rotors were with the brembo's In Perth, the price of an 08/09 F6 with 30-40km's varies between $41 and $48 so there's a lot between them. Hopefully gives me more room to negotiate with parties. Is that the sort of price you'd expect? There is a nice green one in QLD for $36K which is ridiculously tempting... Are there any common issues? Anything I should be especially looking out for? How have you found your FG F6? Thanks guys! Appreciate the advice, Dan
