  1. Hi all, Just joined this forum and this is my first post. Just brought a 2009 Fg XR6 turbo. can some of you forum gurus help me with these question. I know some might sound silly and simple, 1. Is there any way to find how much fuel I have left in my fuel tank in litres. 2. The RANGE mode of my Cluster is it accurate? It reached 0Km today and beeped but I could still drive it for another 2 kms is that right? does'nt that mean my fuel tank is empty? 3. How do I know when my fuel goes in reserve. How many litres is the reserve tank? Help much appreciated.
  2. Afternoon, I plan to remove the cat converter. I understand that doing so, will create overboost from the turbo. I am getting it tuned etc, but where the muffler shop is and the tuner is 150km apart. The tuner shop charges 400% more than my local guy and towing it to the tuner isn't worth it (the costs are pretty much equal). So question is, if I drive under 2000rpm, stay off boost as much as I can and drive really carefully, can I make it to the destination without turbo damage? Any ideas would be a help.
  3. Starting a new thread for people of the goldfields area. We should get together for some cruises or fundraisers etc. Not much to do in this part of the world so let me know of any people around who are interested!
  4. Hey guys, im very new here, I figured the best place to ask about them, was here, and not on the NissanSilvia forum where I used to spend my time. I currently have a 1995 Nissan 200sx Silvia S14. Its a jap 4 cyl turbo with about 230HP to the wheels. I have someone interested in buying it and I've been eying off many BA XR6T's and XR8's for sometime. But, I think I would prefer a 6 turbo, given the nature and love of my previous car. My car used to be an auto, but then I converted it to a manual as I somehow broke the auto :o What do you guys use for spirited driving in the xr6T's? I quite like the idea of quick shift in the auto. But, being a manual "drop clutch" kind of person, maybe im better off getting a manual? Is this an upgrade that could be reccommended? what are some things that can go wrong with a BA xr6T? I've heard diff bushes can be bad even with low KM models. Thanks for any help, comments, advice or welcomes! Glen
  5. hi guys, im totally new in xr6t sence. I used to have a skyline. just jump to xr6t a few month ago... pls help me out. I think there are some problems with my ba xr6t which lead its comsumption is quite high.... I bought it these year July. its run like 23L/100kms at that time. absolute rediculous. The car was all standard, and im driving it very gently, no heavy foot at all. then I get it serviced, chaged oil, air filter and spark plugs. and run on computer showed everything was fine, but the gearbox. Anyway, the fuel comsuption was better, 18L/100kms. then I went to a gearbox specialist and they took it for a test drive and told me these was nothing wrong with the gearbox. coz its grives totally fine, nothing abnormal. it sit around 2000rpm at 100km/hr when cruise on high way, is this info. helpful to see if the gearbox is all right? I really dont know what to do now .... 18L/100kms, is this the way a xr6t should be?? can anyone give me some suggeation??? thx a lot !!
  6. Hey guys, I have been lurking in this forum for a while taking in the great info on offer. I recently (4-5months ago) got a 2006 BF XR6T. So far I have done Blue Power CAI, Centre muffler removal, Braided turbo oil supply line, DBA cross slotted rotors, EBC Greens, Tune. Its making 240rwkw very safely at the moment. Whiteline sways going in on saturday. Anyways next is Fuel Pump and Injectors and this is where I need some help... For injectors I wanna go Bosch 968s as I don't think I'll ever go over 350rwkw and I know people run these in 400+ setups... I've heard the Siemens Deka 60lbs are crazy good if you are chasing the biggest numbers but are overkill otherwise... Can anyone confirm or deny this? For pump I'm thinking either walbro GSS 341 or something similar.... I am pretty open to suggestions... Something that I won't need to get a surge tank for is preferable and I was gonna go in tank unless I am told why I shouldn't Any help appreciated as always guys!! And I'll attach a few pics so ya can see what I'm working with. Cheers, Joe
