  2. Not if you're in victoria, you'd be in the morgue right about now... hehe I am in Mexico do we know why yet ??? maybe it was for forum-fraud ???

    Dyno Day

Daz and I were numbers 19 & 20 to go on the dyno... we cracked the sads (a little ) when numbers 23 & 24 were lined up ready to go and no one told us great to see Brian's beast ... well worth the price of admission and we were wondering whether or not to go on the dyno cause it was getting late ... bcl's did really well given the low readings on their dyno ... ran my stanger up first thing this morning and found the 60rwkw that went walkabout on Saturday afternoon .... the AFRs over 5000rpm were meant to have gone to the dogs but they were back to ~13 today .... a fair and appreciated call from the operator who showed me the figures on Saturday (<10) ... can only go by what is in front of you estimate 600rwkw for bcl on a dynodynamics dyno .... awesome ... absolutely awesome ... felt it through the floor
  6. what was the weight of the car and cargo ??? 1000kg ???

    Channel 10

I enjoyed the race there were obviously less cameras than usual provided by channel 10 and/or its NZ counterpart .... sh!tloads of long shots which actually reminded me of being a trackside spectator (forever looking for a silver lining) the track response to race needs was if they were would any of the other broadcasters have done a better job ?? channel 10's coverage would have been 100% better if Ford would have been a clear winner and Murphy was busy tending his sheep

    Dyno Day

great day and some very very tough cars thanks to all the organizers
  9. agreed .... I have one diff replaced .... Ford thought it was marginal but I didn't .... but it was replaced by Ford what you describe could be many things ... though I doubt it relates to your power level if it noticeable on slow hard turns .... unless you turn into your driveway like I turn into mine lsd my best guess

    Sod Em All!

    it is making me thirsty
  11. that sounds like a sh!t experience ... it reminds me about a new Mustang I took delivery of last year ... I got about 8km from the dealership and it cooked itself over a 500mm stretch of highway ... a very stressfull situation but it was sorted out ... I just tried to be realistic and kept my cool unfortunately I think there is a cooling down period after you sign the sale note ..... and by the time delivery comes around it is all over if you want to get out of the deal, just tell the dealer straight ... maybe they will co-operate but I don't think they will atleast the problem is clear as a bell and should be able to get fixed reasonably quickly good luck mate and try and keep your cool
  12. I'll put it down now .... well .... hmmm .... ahhh ... d'oh
  13. Daz just pointed out to me that I appear to be pushing for the interceptor chips in this thread and sh!tting on the edits. I'm not I just want see the ETC issue given its proper attention and fixed sorry if I have come across as a stooge, I'm not clever enough to be one of them
  14. buyer beware ... sucker punched punter ... whatever ok ... let future potential buyers be able to read this thread and maybe it will help them make an informed decision TRACTION CONTROL SHOULD ONLY DIS-ENGAGE UPON DRIVER REQUEST VIA THE BUTTON ON THE DASHBOARD hopefully that is why the "editors" are trying to fix the problem, otherwise why don't they just say ... "by the way, the ETC on your car is going to mental and have a mind of its own after you get the edit .... she'll be right mate ... no problems" ps ... I always use that ETC button just after starting up hope reliable and predictable ETC returns soon
  15. Top post! Hint: sell the car and go buy a Hyundia. You buy a perfomance vehicle increase the power then worry about it loosing traction..... Daz and SixFan I hear what you guys are saying but we aren't buying an edit that can dis-engage ETC when it feels like it got a button on the dash that will do that when I'm ready for it with the edit the ETC "may" reset everytime you turn the car off... and cut out on the road when "IT" sees fit ... I'll pass on that one the point in this thread is really being missed
  16. I reckon if the guys buying/using edits were warned/informed as to the ETC problem with the edit ... then buyer beware prevails an informed decision is a good one but it seems to me this ETC problem is being down played and not taken seriously enough maybe I'm expecting too much or maybe the supplier is simply short changing me
  17. it might be wrong or it might be right :o all that matters is you got a truckload of power and torque ... well done Brian, have you weighed your car lately ??
  18. I've had cars that run better and get better economy on ulp compared to pulp ... got one now ... be interested in any theories (given the same fuel runs like a charm in another car)
  19. my experience is that the utes (like the sedans) are hard to sell and that the classifieds are filled with dreamers with the petrol pricing and interest rates nudging up ... they'll be even harder to sell Ford will no doubt drop new car prices on these things soon as we head into the third tri-mester of the model .... and that will really kick the crap out of used XR and FPV prices ... nothing surer ... look at the year 2001 in the classifieds ... some of those are painful (and overly hopeful)... lets hope all those cars were bought at a good price in the first place
  20. Chris, with Cobra stage 2, what internals are strengthened ? 6800 rev limit seems high to me on stock internals Brian's post answers your question, I would also suggest 3.73 as the best option. Changing gear while ringing its neck is fun but short lived ... take it easy and enjoy the extra power
