  1. are you guys talking about an exhaust ??? doesn't sound like it to me ... show pony bling maybe it is an exhaust which happens to do the second most dirtiest job in the whole car I've used Darren's stuff plenty of times and it is fine ... sometimes not pretty but they work well ... appearance doesn't always reflect quality and his stuff remains affordable ... even tried the piece this thread is on about ... it works fine, better than some of that glitz you can buy at 3 times the price
  2. you need to try a 2-link rear end .... easy enough done ... got the pieces somewhere ... there is a place in Melb that makes up a kit for the BAs .... installed or they will mail you the pieces, which ever ... not rocket science to install - need to weld but the Capa thngo works ok but I found it would keep slipping off ... you can try the Toyota leaf spring overload clamps too ... but they look exactly like the Capa ones
  3. congrats Scotty and family ... great news ... .ankle biters - the great equalizer a Black pram on the dyno yet ??
  4. wouldn't have a factual clue Xperimental Racing was what I thought
  5. Happy Birthday Scotty ..... keep punching
  6. Yeah, I was trying to avoid that one..... I got a red hot deal from the distributor, and still didn't get much change from 1.1K... holy sh!t

  9. thanks Alan still not convinced though ... I haven't used a g-tech for a year or so and always wacked the weight of the car in (got some load cells too ) but not sure where this weight was exactly used other than in the derivation of hp ... will go for a bit of a read and a think still reckon F=MA would prevail in there somewhere .... though I can imagine the acceration being measured in g forces and time just ticks on is this like dropping an empty bottle and a full bottle of the top of a building ... which hits the ground first ?? as for flat roads ... look for river flats on any map ... always a nice stretch of bitumen a few k's long to be found
  10. F=MA but you got me thinking now if you are right ... can you explain how the g-tech does it without knowing the weight ??
  11. What weight did u add to the g-tech for calculation purposes?
  12. some say they are better .... I got a new diff on the XR8 ute and it sounded the same to me but the clunking was noticeably reduced get it changed if it sounds that bad
  13. I'd really like to know WHY as well
  14. I like the way you think Turbo6man
  15. ofcourse wheel sizes alter the readings on a dyno ... different gearing=different results ..... but we were talking about the actual tyres and the rims they are on ... not gearing ... I think (why is it all dyno threads go weird ??? ) as for a change in rolling diameter of 1mm, the distortion of a tyre at high speeds would have more impact .... you'd have to be calculating the perimeter of an ellipse or some other weird a$$ shape except a circle also the differential wear on any pair of rear tyres could easily be more than a few millimetres .... what then ?? oh no quoting the thread starter the magnitude of the difference (nearly 10%) and its repeated result I find interesting ... and yet to be explained (to this dumb a$$ anyway)
  16. haven't we agreed that the rolling diameter of the various wheels was going to be considered the same for the purposes of this thread ??? and that some guys were reporting power variations due to the rim sizes only .... go the 5's
  17. nah .... bad luck CJ ... nope .... you should have known .... glad I cancelled my order what is fair and what will happen are unlikely to ever co-incide it is starting to become unreasonable to expect a new car that actually works nowadays the clutch would come in handy though, especially for a manual car
  18. what about when you got the 5's on ??
  19. yes ... as long as there is no doubt as to their guilt when drugs are taped to them while smuggling.... or is in a condom up there booper or in their gullet ... no doubt at all wish some of the guys further up the feeding chain could be drawn and quartered slowly after being filled with the drugs they make so much money from ... in fact, better still, let them get addicted .... then cold turkey them and then quarter them
