  1. Again, thank you very much for your reply🙃
  2. Thank you very much for that, just one query, as mine is a ute, does it have a rear bar or were you referring to a sedan? Also do I go back to the 24mm on the front or go to a 27mm for just a little stiffness as opposed to the 30mm that's on there?
  3. Hi guys, for such a little question, it's a long explantion. I have a 2005 BA XR6 turbo ute. Originally when I bought this 2nd hand 17 years ago it was an V8, had been stolen or some such and rebuilt into a turbo 6, been a great vehicle in the time I've owned it. I decided in my infinite wisdom to put a 30mm front sway bar on her but noticed the other day that the brackets that connect to the chassis are a wee bit bent. Can someone possibly tell me what the diamater would be of the factory original XR8 front sway bar as my local Ford dealer has no information. Regards, Bryan.
  4. Hi guys, quick question, I have a 2005 BA falcon ute, before I bought it in 2006 it was a V8, had been stolen and then rebuilt as a turbo 6. Are the front springs in the V8's stiffer than in the 6's,? Therefore making it sit slightly higher with a lighter engine. Thoughts please 🙏
  5. All 4 mags are new as well, change over from old to new happened at the tire shop, so I'm guessing they have all been balanced.
  6. Strangely enough it even got the better of her and that doesn't happen very often😉
  7. Hi guys, I have a BA turbo ute which I have recently lowered, the front is 630mm from the top centre of the wheel arch to the ground and the rear is 620mm. Front tyres are Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 235/40R18 95W, these have been on the vehicle for quite awhile. Rears are Brigdestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003 255/35R18 94W, these are new as I've put wider rims on the rear. But I have noticed quite a marked increase in road noise, is this simply due to the ute being lower to the ground and the noise reverberating through the tray, or is it the tyres, as I say, the front tyres have been on for a few years and were originally the same size on the rear as well with no issue with road noise. Did wonder about chucking an old kapock mattress in the back to try and deaden the noise........any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Bryan.
  8. Hi guys, think this is a fairly simple question but a long winded explanation for it. It's a 93 XG chassis, used to have a 1998 6 cyl in it, for various reasons that is no longer in it. There is now a 1992 6 cyl waiting to go in it, it is missing the right hand engine mount. My question is if I go online to buy engine mounts for 93 XG will they fit? I assume the mounts didn't really change through these 90's models.
  9. Just a quick thank you to Puffwagon, K31th and bjc for their advise, It would appear I have managed to rectify the issue and calmly as well🙂
  10. Thanks for that, I shall give it a crack🙂
  11. Hi guys, have a small query, I have a BA turbo and struggle to keep the factory intake pipe connected to the turbo, have very large hose clips on it, but as I'm tightening them up they tend to just slide back off the turbo, Ford seemed a bit stingy with the lenght they have allowed on the turbo and the factory piping. Should I go aftermarket piping or is there a simpler fix, look forward to your comments. Bryan.
