    I'm having issues with refit of my ba turbo. The h bracket forward nut is hard to fit any hints please .

    Thanks k31th, I've sorted it as far as the flashing PNR light goes just had a look under the car and checked the electronic communications and the round one was loose. So I popped it back in and alls good . Now I'm going to put some fuel in it and take it for a spin . Wish me luck. I don't know what the car performed like before I got it the motor was in pieces and the trans was in the tub.But I have a little OCD when it comes to fixings things and that's a good thing 😊 Yeah a electronic shift kit . I have now removed it completely from the car as I understand that when I get it tuned the tuner can make adjustments

    Hi ,I'll do my best to explain. Just got my xr6t ute back from the shop . The car was sitting for two years with a spun bearing so they put a FG crankshaft and bearings and new timing chain and a copy turbo. Stationery will rev past 6k but in gear it won go past 3900 . One I had run it in I put it in sequential in 1st and took it to 5500 boosted well. Then I found a box that had been disconnected turned out to be a electronic shift kit so I hooked it back up . Car wouldn't start so I removed it and car started That's when this issue started . Now P and R flash and no sequential and no rev past 3900 but still revs past 6 in neutral. No codes on the OBD . I disconnected the battery for 30min and now I'm looking for a little help. I haven't had it tuned Cheers

    Thanks for your information. I'm sure it would take more . Is the boost control run by the ecu. I have an FG gas motor with all the good stuff I got it cheep. I'm not interested in building a rocket ship. Just something with a little bit more than standard. I have some assets I can move and build that rocket ship but for now just baby steps.cheers

    The rods 140k . FG Crankshaft is only 30k and was well within tolerances. I will most likely leave it as is . I was just wondering if it would take a little extra Boost I will do as you say seems reasonable. I realise a tune would be best so I'll hang on to the rest of the gas motor for another day cheers

    Yeah mate crankshaft. The engine had spun a bearing the mechanic I bought it from removed the auto and the sump and left the ute in his yard for 2 years he didn't get to fix it because he was to busy. That's what he said . I bought it of him and took it to my mechanic then I scored a FG gas motor with spark plug halicols that were piping out so they motor swaped it and I bought that motor for $100 my mechanic took the crankshaft out of the FG and put it in my engine along with the cam chain. Should I get the FG cams installed as well . No it hasn't been tuned . I can get a 12lb actuator turbo smart real cheep . Cheers

    Hi Ive just put in a FG gas crankshaft into my ba xr6 turbo ute mark 2 .I was thinking of maybe putting a 15lb actuator with a boost controller in the cab. I know people say boost it up. Am I playing with fire or is this a reasonable upgrade. Cheers
  11. I've just purchased a. Gearbox want to make sure I have the right one should have checked before but I didn't. It's a tremec 0557-066926. Was told it came out if a turbo ute . I have no reason to disbelieve the bloke any help please
