  1. Hi lads I have replaced the torque converter few days back and flush the fluid as well but I can hear a low rattling with whining noise while the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd and goes away, nothing happens if I press the gas harder? torque converter bolts are torqued according to the specs even a lil tighter than that do you guyz think it’s May be low fluid or something else?
  2. Thanks mate yes that was the shifter wiring with the magnet missing on the shifter assembly all good now

Update I can change gears from the bottom gear adjustment lever manually but shifter doesn’t work as the cable is stretched, car starts and I have check it runs fine on the jacks hopefully It will work once I will run the new cable But the transmission error which is “TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK” is still there 😔 Any idea if the shifter or cable has any switch or sensor connected or linked to any of em?
  4. Ok so I put the car in N with The cable connected and then put it in D as soon as I revs it goes into 2 3 4 and if I RWC it stops the engine it’s the same computer

Already started a new post for it but just because you guyz assisting me over here so I will update here too My dash is showing P but the error message pops up “Transmission not in park” I have change the tranny but forgot to aligned the adjustment lever with the gear change lever inside the tranny and was showing 2 on the dash With the same error above , I am sure I have stretched the shifter cable Now I have aligned both levers inside and out and pushed the lever all the way to park it’s showing P now but the same error comes up (that’s without the shifter cable) if I connect the shifter cable to the lever it shows in R (just because the cable I have F*** probably) My shifter does go all the way to the P but cable doesn’t Now any idea if there any ECU connection with the shifter cable or shifter? Because as soon as I pushed the lever without the cable to the front it showed P on the dash
  6. So the Shifter cable was a lil stretched I pulled it a lil and went back to P still not perfect but going into PRD BUT the 2 is still there on the dash, I adjusted the lever all the way back and connected the cable but no luck
  7. Which direction should be that adjust lever on the tranny when it’s on park any idea?
  8. Yeah but it was going Into park in the start but when I just took that cable out from the that adjustment it didn’t

Thanks guyz now I have another issue unfortunately replaced the transmission everything went well but it’s showing 2 on the cluster and not starting, I have moved front and back that adjustment thing on the tranny but it didn’t change Anything, moreover the shifter was moving from P to D Before but now it’s not going into P did I F*** Up something or is just the adjustment or something else?
  12. Gday I have mistakenly turned the engine Counter clock wise while lining up the torque converter bolts is it a big issue once I will start the car or it doesn’t matter which direction barra195 turns? nothing taken apart from the engine though just installing a new torque converter

    Fg/G6e GEARBOX

    Hi Lads new here unfortunately the bushes in my FG Automatic transmission are gone and needs rebuild so just wondering instead of rebuild if I can swap G6e tranny to my Fg from a wrecker just to save some cash and time, is that gonna work or do I need to swap with the same model?
